Dell Optiplex 3060 Intel 9th Gen Cpu support
Hello!
I was wondering if there's anyway the Dell Optiplex 3060 sff can support Intel 9th Gen processors. I know Dell's latest bios update only supports Intel 8th Gen CPUs and it's more than likely this won't change in the future. The computer uses a H370 Chipset which does supports Intel's 8th and 9th Gen CPUs. Unofficially, there's third party software that allows the PC's bios to be modified to update the BIOS Cpu Mircocode to allow 9th Gen support. The question is how do I that and find the necessary files to do it specifically for that computer? Is there a guide specific to this computer which I can follow? Please let me know soon. Thanks!

This forum thread has some information and confirms that the 3060 cannot upgrade to a gen 9 CPU. The BIOS hack you refer to is not officially supported, obviously, and there are risks that the system could be bricked or the hack could be virus infected.
