Error
When i start my PC i get the message Alert! Memory failure detected in DIMM 1. System halted. What do i do to fix it?

That error message is telling you that the RAM module in DIMM slot 1 has failed or is having a problem. Try removing and reseating the RAM module. If you can boot the system and it POSTs then run system diagnostics. At the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full system diagnostics. If the RAM fails the test, you must replace the RAM module. And not knowing what model of computer you have (please post the model number in the forum), I cannot tell if you have 1 or 2 memory modules, or more. Now while you are replacing DIMM1, I would also replace DIMM 2 module. Better to have a matched set for complete compatibility.
