Newer systems need CTIA splitter for the single jack on the front. If it doesn't detect anything being inserted the OEM audio driver needs to be reinstalled.
New single jack needs splitter for old school headset

Hello is normally the 1st thing i do when i post on forum
Wich Windows you have?
Original sound card or other? sound card up to date?
Check on Device manager?
Wich microphone you use? Driver for microphone up to date?
Do you have sound when you play youtube or other?
In windows right click on the speaker give you some option > select correct input for your microphone or select your sound card and try again
