Optional Type-C module OptiPlex Micro 7010
OptiPlex Micro 7010
I don't know if this has been discussed before, but when i read the OptiPlex 7010 micro owners manual the board with the type-c port has 4 cables:
" 2. Connect the Type-C DisplayPort cable to the system board.
3. Connect the Type-C USB cable to the system board.
4. Connect the Type-C power cable to the system board.
5. Connect the Type-C signal cable to the system board. "
I found such boards with only 2 cables for USB and for video. What is the serial number of the part shown in the owners manual?

Chat w Dell sales on line for price/stock. It is a new model so unlikely you will find third party vendor yet.

@redxps630 where do you get part numbers from? I can't find any info about them on the web.

I confirmed with support that Y6F6D is the correct part number but there are none available now.

WARNING
There are a few Dell Daughter Boards listed on Amazon and Ebay, but many have cables that are the wrong length. Some Part Numbers also does NOT match the Dell Part Number. Even though they may list 7070 Micro compatibility, they may NOT fit. Read reviews on questionable Daughter Boards to make sure it will fit a Dell 7070 Micro

Old post, but can anyone confirm if Y6F6D can handle power in and display out simultaneously?
In my testing it seems to support one or the other, but not both at the same time.
