EMC Press Release on Backup Transformation
This EMC press release, while it does not specifically mention Oracle, promises to dramatically effect Oracle backup. This is because with Networker 8.0, Data Domain DD Boost integration has been added to Networker. This means that RMAN backups can be taken with Networker 8.0 using Data Domain DD Boost. See this white paper for more information on that combination.
I would love to hear comments from others if you agree with my analysis. Please feel free to weigh in on this issue.

Jeff,
Here is a good YouTube video "Introducing EMC Networker 8.0". The video looks like a race car video game. Fun to watch.
