Snapshot capabilities including application integration with Oracle
I'm responding to an RFP and they presented an application specific question regarding EMC snapshot technology. Here is the questions:
"Explain your snapshot capabilities including application integration with Oracle. How much administrative and overhead space is required to accommodate snapshots with your solution?"
Anyone have or know where I can find a good write-up that can answer this question?

What Snapshot method are you referring to? We have SnapSure for Unified, Timefinder for VMAX, etc. Search Powerlink for Oracle Snapshots for whitepapers. You can also open a ticket with the Pre-Sales Support Center for assistance too.

The paper "Implementing TimeFinder Multiple Snapshots with virtual provisioning for Oracle 11g databases on EMC VMAX" can be found here: http://www.emc.com/collateral/software/white-papers/h5635-timefinder-snap-multiple-snapshots-wp.pdf
Within the paper they tackle all your questions and provide detailed steps that show how TimeFinder snaps work with Oracle. Might be good to reference the paper in the RFP as support for your reponses. Hope this helps.
