PE T140 with nVidia Graphics card
I am tried adding a PNY NVIDIA Quadro K2200 Graphics Cards VCQK2200-PB to my PowerEdge T140 about 8 weeks ago. The only slot that would accommodate the graphics card was the bottom slot which was occupied by the PERC H730 RAID controller. I moved the RAID controller to another slot and installed the K2200. Everything worked great until the video card stopped working this afternoon. My guess is that the card won't work long term in the bottom slot in the PE T140 due to cooling/heat issues. Am I overreacting due what may have been a "bad' video cad, or is my assessment correct? Thank for your help.

Hi,
Dell did not support Adding Video Cards to PE Servers.
If you want to have the advantage of a Server like IDRAC and LCC then you have to check out our Precision Workstation like R7920:

or you could set up a supported Solution for your Infrastructure here: https://dell.to/2WOVXKK

So that's the thing.. It may not officially be supported, but..
I have :
- a PowerEdge T630 with a GTX 1660 Ti (and hoping to grab a 3080 in a few months).
- a PowerEdge T640 with a Quadro P2200 (tried the GTX 1660 Ti but it started asking for a noisy external fan so I went back to a GPU powered by the PCIe bus).
- a new T140 to which I just added a Geforce GTX 1030 and the T140 didn't even complain or bump the fans.
So YMMV

You are correct YMMV. I ended up swapping out video cards: I installed an AMD R5 430X. It works like a champ; no issues at all!
