PowerEdge R760xs ISSUE
Dear Dell Support Team,
I recently purchased a new Dell PowerEdge R760xs server, and I am experiencing a boot issue.
When I connect the power supply and power on the server, the monitor displays the message:
“AC input detected. Verifying system security...”
After that, the monitor goes into sleep mode instead of continuing to boot to the system setup or operating system installation screen.
I am therefore unable to proceed with the OS installation.
In addition, I noticed that the server’s power button is blinking. Could you please advise what this indicates and whether it is related to the issue?
Please assist me in troubleshooting this problem. Kindly let me know the checks I should perform, or whether this may indicate a hardware fault.

ideally, you should access the idrac to see what it says the issue is, especially if there is a flashing orange led on the front of the unit. if the system wont power on, you can use a micro usb cable to connect to the port on the front right corner of the unit. After connecting the cable to the idrac port and your laptop, your laptop should recv an additional IP of 169.254.0.4 (you might have to put it in airplane mode to get the IP). Once your system gets an IP, you can access the idrac at 169.254.0.3 and the factory default password is root/calvin. Another thing you can try is to pull the power cords, reseat all the dimms, remove any slotted cards and the risers to see if the system then powers on after reconnecting power cords.
