Adding a Second procesor to PE1750.

Question

Hi,

I will apreciate if you can help with the following:

I have a PE1750 that actually have a U0622 PROCESOR…, 80532K, 3.06GHZ, 512K, 533.

I need to add a second processor to this machine.

I understand that I need the same part Number, this is U0622 BUT i don´t know if I need to purchase the VRM and Heat Sink also.

Could you indicate me if the U0622 contain the VRM and Heat sink or I must to buy it separately??

The VRM is built in to the systemboard. You won't need to purchase this. You will, however, need to purchase a heatsink for your second processor. Rather than purchasing part number U0622 for processor only, I would purchase D1126 which is the processor service kit. This will include all the parts you need for adding your second processor, including the processor itself.

Thanks Idaho Joe for your help.   Could you indicate us which is the the Part Number for purchase only the Heat Sink?.  We already have the U0622.   Note: Do you know where I could review the Pat Number that I need for the PE Servers?   Alberto
