Hello

Disconnect/remove everything that you have added to the server. Anything on the PCIe or USB bus can disrupt power to the iDRAC and cause it to not initialize properly. If that does not resolve the issue then take the system to minimum to POST, clear NVRAM via jumper, and drain flea power again.

Thanks

Hello.

I have sent you an e-mail with further instructions.

Thank you .

What was the resolution??  I am dealing with this currently on a T320!  Same exact behavior;  no iDRAC display but LED lit blue, fans on supersonic-loud, passes Configuring Memory but gets to Initializing iDRAC... hangs, blowing all the while, and eventually reboots only to do the same -- forever!  I've removed all connections other than Ethernet, power, and display, but have not yet tried removing all but one RAM module.  There is no web or SSH access to the DRAC (or the rest of the server, for that matter) since it won't initialize, and since it hangs while initializing there is no chance to hit System Setup, Lifecycle Controller, or any other functions.  This server lacks a dedicated iDRAC card as far as I'm aware; at the very least, it lacks a dedicated NIC, and is tethered into em2 somehow.  I'll also note I've drained all flea power, and am now going to reset the NVRAM via jumper as mentioned above.  However, being our issues are so similar, I would still appreciate the e-mail received by OP!  Thanks in advance for any help with this!

I have the same issue on a R320, error initializing IDRAC.

What is the solution that actually works? I cannot update DRAC from they DRAC website since its completely unreachable.

Remove the DRAC card?

I am facing a similar issue with one of our r320 when iDrac firmware was updated.

I am new to this and am wondering how & if we flash the old idrac firmware, will this resolve the issue on the iDrac Express

Hello every one,

I have the same problem on a PowerEdge R320 server. It doesn't save any changes in Bios.

I have cleared NVRAM and drained system flea power as explained mr. Roberto Ondogo. The system is booting Windows 2008 Server but I encounter the error when I try to update Bios or firmware.

Please tell me if I have any other solution to make the update.

Regards!
