Old PE830 boot delay -- graphics card installed
Hello
I run an old PE830 machine which has been modified several times over the years.
Some details
BIOS A03
OS is Windows XP (SP3)
HDDs 160GB WD (disk 0), Seagate 500GB, Toshiba 500GB
Disks are not currently hooked up to the CERC card that came with the machine (this is still available, but removed).
Graphics card is GT610 NVidia.
Machine works well once boot process is complete, but there is a strange delay after the IPMI and BMC stages at boot. Blinking cursor shows in top left of screen for 30 seconds, followed by single beep, then repeat (usually twice more). Then Windows boots and eventually all is well.
Is this caused by adding a graphics card? A post elsewhere on these forums indicated there is no support for a graphics card on these servers.
Originally machine came with W2003 SBS.
The 'problem' dates from when machine was set up to dual-boot Windows XP and Linux.
Any help would be appreciated -- as mentioned, machine does work (quite well in fact), but delay is strange.

Thanks for this reply. I am intrigued rather than greatly inconvenienced by the behaviour of the system. It's still quite usable, just takes rather longer to boot than might be expected.
It has been retained because Microsoft Office is installed. Most work from now on will be on a modern i7 workstation running Linux.
