PowerEdge r430 stuck in boot loop

The server was running as usual and all of a sudden rebooted and went in a loop state. Didn't change the hardware and didn't update the firmware.

Firstly it will boot until memory checks on start and after some seconds reboot again and again.

I removed all peripherals and all drives and also disconnected the monitor but it cannot reboot.

I followed the guidelines to disconnect power, press the power button for 10 seconds, and reconnect power directly not from a UPS.

I tried also the basic configuration so CPU1 and only one stick of RAM in slot A1, but nothing changed.

Also tried to swap the RAM and swap power supply, but nothing changed.

IDRAC doesn't work anymore. Sometimes the port lights up sometimes not, but cannot assign IP address so no logs

The only error that sometimes comes out is "Power unavailable on standby"

Hello thanks for choosing Dell. I would like to ask you to try Minimum to Post:

•System Board
•CPU1 with heat sink (minimum for troubleshooting)
•Single DIMM configuration with DIMM in socket A1
•Control panel with cable (to the power system on)
•Power supply unit (and PDB/PIB)

Respectfully,

I tried minimum to post configuration and it goes again in a loop state.

When the screen shows "Configuring memory..." it reboots and shows the error "Power: Unavailable on standby"
If I try to push the button myself, it goes beyond and I can enter the idrac configuration to view the logs.
Here I can see that there are only errors related to fan redundancy.

Hello at this point I'm suspecting it could be the PSU/Power issue. Would you be able to find another PSU around you to swap with the original one to make sure if the original was actually working properly?

Hi, as I can see you already tried many steps. You can try NVRAM_CLR via jumpers if issue is persist I would suspect motherboard.

Jumper Setting Description
NVRAM_CLR     SLN302725_en_US__9image(12473)(default) The configuration settings are retained at system boot (pins 3-5)
SLN302725_en_US__10image(12472) The configuration settings are cleared at the next system boot (pins 1-3)
PWRD_EN     SLN302725_en_US__10image(12472)(default) The password feature is enabled (pins 2-4)
SLN302725_en_US__9image(12473) The password feature is disabled (pins 4-6)

Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
Open the System.
Remove the jumper plug from the NVRAM_CLR  jumper. See the Figure above to locate the password jumper (labeled "NVRAM_CLR ") on the system board.
Move the Jumper from Pin's 3-5 to pins 1-3 for ten seconds
Move the jumper back to Pins 3-5 (default)
Close the system.
Reconnect your system and peripherals to their electrical outlets, and turn on the system.

You will need to enter the system BIOS and re-enter the time and date and settings required.

@Dell-ErmanO

Followed all the instructions given

Unfortunately the problem still persists

What can I do now? Is replacing the motherboard the only remaining solution?

Especially in cases where the problem persists after min2post is done, priority is given to changing the motherboard first. But it may not mean that this will be the only remaining option or definitive solution. Because in rare cases, it may even be processor-related.

Hi,

It looks like faulty main board since you have replaced most of the components and tried the troubleshooting that my co-workers suggested. Have you tried replacing the heatsink and CPU fan.
