Question about Lifecycle Controller
Hi,
just configure new server with idrac9 enterprise, this server comes only with two embedded nic cards, during configuring lifecycle controller ask me to take one of this network card and use it. Why I have to sacrify one network card for this controller that will be used occasionally, and I stay with only one network adapter? Is any way lifecycle controller could share dedicated card from idrac9 ?

Network port which is selected in F10 Lifecycle controller is not permanently dedicated to Lifecycle Controller. That port will be used during that Lifecycle controller session for any network related operations. Once the system is booted to Operating system that network port will be available for operating system to use.
Lifecycle controller can not be configured to use iDRAC Dedicated port for its operations.
