Scan for driver/firmware updates?

Is there a way to scan for driver/firmware updates on servers like Dell has for desktops? I'm aware of the ways of applying updates (e.g. SUU), but most of them involve taking the server down. I'm looking for a way to at least identify needed updates with the server online.

Yes, we have the lifecycle controller, but I'm looking for a way to find updates without taking down the server.

I'm not looking for a way to apply updates, I'm looking for a way to detect available updates.

If I have a set of servers over a number of sites, I don't want to have to remote into each and every iDRAC and check through each and every firmware/driver version.

If they are not core installs then Grab the Server Update Utility (SUU) ISO for the generation of the server and mount then run the utility.  It will scan and report what needs to be updated.  You have to tell it to update.  I use it all the time and then do the ones that need to be updated after hours.

Gen 13 servers are on version SSU v.16.10.0 and v16.12.0 I don't think 16.10 applied to as many servers as 16.12 does. If your older generations, you might need the v15.12.  But I think v16.12 included a few server between 10-13.
