According to idrac, the cmos battery in one of my T320s died.
I have a broken r510 and a broken t430, both which I keep around for spare parts if needed (I have a functional r510, t320, t430, t330 plus a t320 that just broke now so I figured it might come in handy).
According to this, the cmos batteries specs look very similar between my t320 and my broken r510 and t430:

Can I just cannibalize the broken t430's or r510's cmos battery and put it in the t320?
Yes, I understand that ideally, I'd just get a new one cmos battery (they are not that expensive), but the ones I found that I know are compatible for sure are from Rome Tech which takes 3-4 weeks to ship to my location and with a 5 machine ceph cluster that is now one machine short, I'm not sure I want to wait that long.
Insights would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You certainly could, but as you stated it would be better to go with a brand new one. All three of the servers you listed (T320, R510, and the T430) all use the CR2032 coin battery, so they would indeed be compatible across all three system types.

thanks for the confirmation. Is there a particular level of quality or other properties I should be looking for other than the fact that it is a CR2032 coin battery?

It would really just come down to preference, as I don't see anything beyond it needing to be a CR2032.

Worst comes to worst, the computer will be done and I'll have a reason to upgrade it to a T340. Just trying to be responsible not wasting money or computing equipment that is still usable for that matter.

Battery, Mini Coin Cell, 3V, Lithium Ion, 1 Cell, 220 mAHr, 210 Watts
