T410 MEMBIST error
Hello All.
I want to upgrade RAM on my DELL T410 Server but I have the following error when I try to insert a 8GB RDIMM module:
"MEMBIST failure – The following DIMM has been disabled by Bios: DIMM B2"
I know the memory module is ok, if I try it on another slot, it work just fine.
Also if I insert the original 2GB module in slot B2, I have no problem at all.
I want to install 48GB of RAM (8GB x 6 Modules) I know the right configuration should be A1,A2,A3 and B1,B2,B3
I have try mixing several configurations with the four slots but if I insert the 8GB module It always give me the MEMBIST error, so I'm stuck only with 8GB per procesor (16GB total).
Can somebody help me?
My meroy module is:

Luis Guzman,
The issue looks to be the dimm itself. Could you do me a favor, as I am not able to determine from the link what rank dimms these are, could you let me know if they are single, dual, or quad ranked? Also, I see from the configuration that with 6 x 8GB dimms installed, they are all showing as 1067, not 1333. Which makes me think these may be quad ranked dimms, which would need to be 1067Mhz.
Let me know the specifics on the dimms. Thanks.

So not to be needlessly reopening a case from so long ago but my T410 started doing this with the 2gb dims that ws in the system. I thought it was the dim but purchased a set of 24 gb in 4 gb dims and still get the issue It is always dim B2 no matter what I put in the slot. all of the sticks work if I install them in jut A1, B1 so I am sure it is not the memory Everything was working ok until I upgraded the bios to the latest upgrade could that be the problem?

Changed the CPU for another one and everything started working.
