Adding a single Drive to a PERC 710
I have a Dell Power Edge T320, using a PERC H710 adapter with 2 existing RAID 1 configurations. I have 8 bays, with 4 available slots. Is it possible to add a single drive, for additional storage without joining, and or disrupting the existing RAID configurations???
It is listed as 'Ready', not 'Online' under the column 'State' in the OMSA. It doesn't appear that I can configure it in anyway w/in the OMSA. I assume, if possible, I would have to get into the PERC H710 interface via a server boot, to configure the single extended drive.
If possible, I would be adding a Dell Certified 1 TB Enterprise Class SATA 3.5 Hard Drive.
Can this be done?

Hi,
It is possible to add a single drive. I had a look at H710 user guide and it is possible to create RAID0 with a single drive page 19 https://dell.to/35mxalu. The newly created drive will not join or disrupt the existing configuration, more over it will appear as another RAID container in your OS.
You mentioned "It" is listed as Ready, by that mean the 4 other new drives that you have inserted into the server? Here's some of reference you can look at and get familiar with in OMSA to create a virtual disk:
Step 4: https://dell.to/2RTfhrm;
OMSA 8.2 UG: https://dell.to/2RVuhFb
Let me know how it goes.
