Adding multiple hard drives to a T110
Hi
I have a Dell T110 mark 1 server which I'm using as a desktop PC. I have installed a graphics card successfully and it runs Windows 7 Home Premium.
It has two HDDs, only one of which is seen in My Computer and in BIOS. I would like to bring the other HDD online, as well as two additional HDDs from an old desktop.
All four HDDs have been physically connected successfully, however only one is seen. I understand the primary drive may be functioning as a virtual drive - what does this mean, and how can I bring the other three online ?
Charles

If you have two drives connected to a RAID controller (or to the motherboard with the S100 controller managing them), then you will only the the virtual drive (two mirrored drives, physically). The only way to change that is to wipe it out and reinstall.
If RAID or a card is not a factor, then check the BIOS to make sure the SATA ports are on.
