bypass F1/F2 message during boot?
Hi everybody,
We recently purchased a PowerEdge R300 server. I installed a 3ware RAID controller card for RAID 1 and connected both hard disks directly into it, thus no hard disks are connected into motherboard SATA ports. Now whenever I boot the system up, at some point it stops and asks to press F1 to continue, or F2 to enter setup. If I press F1, it goes ahead and boots from the RAID'ed disks.
The problem is that I HAVE to press F1. When the system is in a rack in a fairly remote equipment room, it becomes an issue. Especially if it is meant to be accessed by Remote Desktop Connection, so it wont have a monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to it at all times.
Is there any way to either bypass that message and make it select F1 option by default? Or configure it so that it uses RAID to boot from?

Press F2, enter setup and turn OFF the Sata port the single harddrive was connected to.

I did that already. Both SATA ports are turned off. The only one that is left ON is the one for DVD-ROM.

You might look in boot sequence and see if it will allow you to move the controller to the first spot, or see if there is a hard-drive disk sequence under boot sequence and check there as well.
