C2100 Raid
Hello, I'm trying to use a Dell C2100 as a home storage server I plan to buy 12 2TB drives for it. I'm just wondering if it is possible to use raid 6 with this server? The C2100 i picked up from eBay comes with a PERC6i raid controller. Sorry I'm new to all this any input would be great.
Thank you!

This server has 12 bays and takes 3.5 inch hard drives. Since it uses sata it should take 2tb drives.

I have the same server. Using the raid card (perc 6/i) raid 6 is possible. Just understand that you wont get your full 24TB, but rather 20TB due to raid 6 having 2 parity drives required.
