convert raid1 to raid5
Hello All
Following on from http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=pes_hardrive&message.id=14343
I have three 36GB drives in raid 1. I want to convert it to raid 5 without having to do a complete destruction of the volume. I am hoping there is a migration/conversion method.
I have dell openmanage array manager, and the machine is a 1600SC.
thanks for helping

1) copy your data on IDE or SATA disk (or CD etc.) from your RAID 1.
2) To make a new configuration in RAID bios as RAID 5 (during this operation you'll lose all your data).
3) copy your saved data to RAID 5.
