usually, there is a setting in the bios that is not correct, for example, floppy drive is enabled when there isnt one attached, sata ports are enabled but nothing attached. Those are the big hitters. Just fyi, ALT-F will reset the bios back to factory, but thats not always a good thing depending on the configuration of the system. if you do want to go back to factory, be sure to write down or screenshot the settings you have now (just in case).
Also. idrac fw 1.95 is the latest and bios 6.30 is the lates for that system,

One last caveat, if you plan on updating anything via the LifeCycle controller, its not going to work until you update the idrac to at least version 1.85 and the LC will need to be at version 1.5.2 first. if they are not at these versions, the updates will need to be performed via an OS.

With reference to this issue of CPLD version:101 on boot, I have updated iDrac to 1.95 and the bios is at 6.3 already. I cannot find anything in bios that is enabled and not attached. Any more ideas on this problem would be most helpful as the boot up sticks until F1 is pressed each time.
Thanks

I have exactly the same issue. In my case it seems to have happened right after a LTO drive was replace. But now I cant reboot without hitting F1 to continue.

Same thing happened to me after replacing a LTO3 tape drive. I updated the BIOS and IDRAC and it did not help. It turned out that I knocked the SATA cable loose in back of the DVD drive. After reseating it no longer prompted me to hit F1.
