Dell PERC H700 Integrated update failed

Hi all, I need some help

I've got an error when tried to update PERC H700 firmware from  v 12.0.1-0091 A01 to 12.3.0-0032, A02.

I  did:

1) successfully downloaded file: DELL_PERC-H700-INTEGRATED_A02_R269684.exe from

ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/SAS-RAID/DELL_PERC-H700-INTEGRATED_A02_R269684.exe

2) unpacked & copied files to bootable USB flash (DOS)

3) booted box from this USB flash

4) started  Update.bat  and  .. got and error very soon :

"An error was encountered during this controller's flash update"

5) booted after that successfully with old firmware (12.0.1-0091, A01)

could you please help me to understand what is wrong?

my server PowerEdge R710, BIOS v.2.1.15, CPU Intel Xeon E5520

Many thanks in advance!

there are 2 versions of the perc H700, an add in PCIe card and the "integrated" card. Which card do you have in the system? if you have the iDrac Enterprise in your system, you could also try the USC platform update function (F10 at post, see the upper right coner)

iDRAC Express will get you there too.  Good luck!

Yes, USC really helped. I successfully updated  RAID controller in my Dell R510. Thank you.
