Error in OpenManage Re: PERC 700
I have a DELL PE R510 with a PERC 700 RAID controller and 2x300GB DELL disks (RAID 1) and 4x1TB Non-DELL (Seagate) disks (RAID 10)
When I go into the OpenManage application it is telling me the Seagate disks status is non-critial and I am not sure as to why this is. Trawling through the net I found something about the PERC700 not supporting non DELL disks but I thought that DELL had resolved this issue.
Can someone please offer some advise. Is there a way to rectify this so that I get STATUS OK on those disks

The PERC H700 RAID controller originally locked out non-certified drives. This restriction has been lifted through a firmware update, so you can use non-certified drives on the H700, but:
Part of the reason for locking out non-certified drives was so that Dell could guarantee the performance and reliability of their hardware. Non-certified drives do not have the correct firmware loaded on them to allow them to properly respond to the many specially-tuned PERC firmware commands of the H700. So, those disks likely will never know how to properly communicate with the PERC controller, so they may always show a warning. If you're lucky, that is all you will experience. Using non-certified drives can result in poor performance, unreliable arrays, and/or data loss.
