Firmware 1068E-IR
Does anyone know where is can find the lastest firmware for a
Dell 1068E-IR (taken from card startup) raid card?
because im running this card, and notiched that the bios is from 2008?
and so im kinda a 'latest = best' kind of guy i was browsing the Dell Support site, and it turned up 0, not even a manual :(
so im hoping if someone knows where/how to get it.
it was integrated into a Dell PowerEdge 850, but even there i couldnt find any info/update.
(server was bought 2nd hand, so it seems reasonable that this has been put in after the 1st buy)
im having it into use now but will powerdown in +- 10mins, so i will update the post with extra info.

Latest may or may not equal "best", but it would equal wisest ... it generally includes fixes to potential problems you can avoid by updating (goes for BIOS, ESM, and HDD's as well).
The SAS 6/iR was never sold with or for the 850, so the download will not exist on the D&D page for it. Assuming you have an "adapter" version (as opposed to an "integrated" version), here is the latest firmware (v.00.25.47.00.06.22.03.00 , A05):
