HBA Controller missing from IDRAC7
Hello
I have Dell R720 with PERC H310 Mini and LSI SAS9207-8e 8-Port External HBA attached to MD1200.
In Idrac7 Storage/Controllers I currently see only H310, but before that shown both.
How can I fix that

As you were seeing card details before, can you reset iDRAC and check whether iDRAC is showing details on LSI SAS9207 card. If this did not resolve the issue can you power cycle the server and check?
You can also check iDRAC FW version and ensure it is latest. you can download latest iDRAC FW from below location

iDRAC will rest as part of iDRAC firmware update. As you are still seeing the issue after firmware update I would suggest to perform power cycle of the system and check the behavior.

Hello
I just power cycle the system and there are no changes
Yes did see the controller before and I don't see the reason why it is gone now. I haven't done anything
Thank you

Hi,
What hardware firmware did you updated on? Can you let me know is the data on the MD1200 still accessible even iDRAC didnot detect the card? Are you able to access to Lifecycle controller and check the hardware inventory, rerun it and see if it is listed on the hardware inventory list.
About the card, do you have the part number of the mentioned LSI SAS9207?

Hello
I only upgraded the idrac with LLC firmware. I keep BIOS v2.5.4 because I have a Chelsio t580 that does not work with the newer version of the BIOS. I tried that with my other R720 before this one that I used for FreeNAS Server
That's why I never upgraded the BIOS on this one, but even with that it was showing me the LSI SAS9207 into the iDrac and one day I logged on to idrac and it was just gone.
Now I was looking into a System inventory of the idrac and I can't see the LSI SAS9207 there I believe I won't see it into LLC as well, but I can use it and I am using it right now without any problems. Only I can't see it on the iDrac anymore
Thank you

Hello,
I'm unsure if not updating the BIOS could result the issue that you're having. BIOS might be communicating with the card, but with the lower firmware, iDRAC might not get the feedback from BIOS. If you could, give the re-run of inventory in LCC a try, it may help.
I've not gotten your feedback on the LSI SAS9207 DPN#, let me know if do have it. Alternative, try collecting SupportAssist log from iDRAC, I might be able try to check what's the issue.

Hello xlameee-dell,
Below are two different method to collect the SupportAssist report:
Export a SupportAssist Collection via iDRAC7 and iDRAC8 web GUI : https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln295784/export-a-supportassist-collection-via-idrac7-and-idrac8?lang=en
-or-
Export Support Assist Collection and RAID Controller Log through PowerEdge Lifecycle Controller
https://www.dell.com/support/article/en-us/sln304272/export-support-assist-collection-and-raid-controller-log-through-poweredge-lifecycle-controller?lang=en
