Help with installing storage driver on R410

Hi, I am sort of at the end of my rope. I never thought I would have to reach out because I have done this step before and never had a problem finding the driver for the storage/RAID driver but what's with this PowerEdge R410 blade model? I have been on this mission since last Monday and still can't find the driver on the Dell. I have tried to run all the exe RAID driver but my Windows 11 block them because it is not a Dell computer. I am trying to reinstall Windows 2012 R2. Any links, suggestions, or help would be really appreciated.

Hello, sorry to hear that, could you try to Dell OS driver pack. https://dell.to/3rhKTsc;

After installing driver pack you can try to install it via lifecycle controller. Because lifecycle OS catalog updated with it. Deploying an Operating System using Lifecycle Controller https://dell.to/3NXQCMC

Hi Erman,
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction but here is the problem when I tried this afternoon. I downloaded the Dell OS driver pack which is an exe file. I saved it to a thumb drive. I booted into Unified Server Configuration and there were a couple of options listed (OS deployment, platform update etc) but no home or top menu. I did not see any virtual media/map cd/dvd/USB. Am I in the right location? I tried Platform update and have an option to select USB drive but it does not see the OS drive pack.exe file. I tried to extrapolate the exe file but it won't install obviously on my non-dell computer.
Do you have any more suggestions?

Hi.  I was so busy today and only have a bit of time to look for the Win2008r2 drivers.  I am getting concerned even though I have not tried to use the drivers downloaded under the Win2008 server for r410.  I still can’t extrapolate the file that has the s300 Raid drivers.  The drivers under Windows 2008 were already in my download folder when I was downloading under 2012r2. I will get back when I get a chance tomorrow.

Here i can see 3 different things

1. The LCC can upgrade all components directly from the internet... but 12Gen Server are remove from the catalog last year and you have a 11Gen Server. Not sure if Dell have Bootable Systemp Update DVD available because the DUP you can download need a installed OS

2. You sould press CTRL+D to see if you need to pre-configure the S300 first because you need to tell the controller which phys. Disk it sould use and what ever.

3. I assume that Win2012 comes with a inbuild driver for the S300 and that step2 should resolve your problem. But checking dell.com/support i on see drivers for 2008R2 and maybe 2012 isnt support on paper. So download the ZippPack https://www.dell.com/support/home/de-de/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=ktx8t&oscode=ws8r2&productcode=poweredge-r710 and install == extract it and copy the files to a USB thumb stick and see what the Windows installer says about.

Joerg

@Origin3k - thank you! I will check it out. I disabled the SATA port A in Bios because the initial error was SATA POrt A: device not found. So now I should turn it back on. Maybe the drivers were there but not seeing the SATA because of what I have done? I did it to see if it fix the bootup and it cleared that part but I have been racking my brain to sort this out. So I am backtracking and see if I have missed something I have done. I will get back. Screenshot5.jpg

Press CTRL+R and see if the controller detects your phys. disks and create a VD on a propper raid.

It seems to scan through a driver file which I have downloaded. See screenshot. I created the RAID and virtual disk. The only option I have to make sense of after it finished was to go into OS Deployment. It asked if I want to select UEFI or BIOS and regardless of which option, it reboot. If I choose UEFI, it comes back in Unified Server Configurator which does not take me any further than I was in before. If I choose BIOS, it reboots and said I have to hit any key to boot into my installation Window CD. After hitting any keys, it loads CD files but always ends up in select the controller drivers. Am I missing something ?

@Origin3k, I tried to download the driver but this is what I get when I run the file. It will not extrapolate the drivers. It will stop after scanning that my computer is not a dell computer.  Any chance to upload the KTX8T folder for me with those files, please?

No need for now as that’s exactly where I got the same drivers (dell zip pack).  Am restarting right low and see if this new drivers work or not.

If needed i can upload it. But Dell offer the normal DUP and a ZipPack (was also a *.exe) and use the 2nd. one.  But i have a Dell Laptops so i cant tell you if you can extract it on a Non Dell PC.

Thank you for your help @Origin3k.  The picture of the drivers were what I needed.  The server has been installed.  It was looking for those drivers and the direct link is here:
