Information about disk - PowerEdge R710
Hello,
Can you tell me what type of disc it is possible to add on a server DELL R710.
- Disc type : SAS, SCSI ?
- Disk size : 2,5' or 3,5 '

SAS or SATA only - SCSI is NOT supported. Disks should be enterprise-class at a minimum - Dell-certified is recommended.
An R710 will take 2.5" OR 3.5" disks depending on your chassis. If the chassis accepts 3.5" disks, then you can also put in 2.5" disks with the right caddy/carrier.

Well, you should be able to tell by looking at it if the disk slots are smaller or larger - or based on how many disk slots are available, but if you PM me your Service Tag (click my name and Add As Friend), I could tell you.

You have 3.5" disks in there, meaning that if you want to add 2.5" disks, you have to use a special carrier/caddy:
