NVRAM
Mr informative,
I am having a problem with the NVRAM.
Every time I boot the system it looses it's memory of the
hard disk configuration. It says there is a msimatch of the BIOS and NVRAM configuration.
I am loosing my RAID disk array configuration.
Please help.....I need to know where the NVRAM is (on PERC3/DC contorller or motherboard)
OR is this a battery dying somewhere.
Configuration: PowerEdge 6300/400 with PERC3/DC RAID controller
6 18 GB Ultra 160 hard drives.

1st) Go into the LSI Controller BIOS, then from the main window, select Objects > Reset Battery Charge Counter. If the number gets high, for reason, the battery just doesn't seem to properly charge.
2nd) Power Down, unseat & slightly pull out all the drives. If you remove them completely, be sure to label them properly as to slot location. Power up, go into the LSI Controller BIOS, then from the main window select Clear. Then follow the prompts to clear. Once cleared, power down.
3rd) Reseat the drives, Power up. You should be prompted to "read from disk." Read from disk and save the confirutaion to NVRAM.
If this does not clear up the NVRAM mismatch, I would recommend replacing the battery.
