You could try contacting Dell Spare Parts at 1-800-372-3355. The part number for the PERC2 128MB DIMM is 1479D.

Hi,

To assist people with obtaining the tested and qualified memories for their PERC 2 RAID controller. Dell no longer has any of these to sell, retaining our final stocks for warranty service obligations.

sorry to dig up an old thread but its was the closest one i could find for my question,

I have a few 128meg sticks of 168pin 50ns ECC micron nimber MT18LD1672G-5X

it is the same number as the 128 sticks for the PERC cache, but without the A twords the end,

Will it work in the Perc2/QC

Compare the data sheets Hmm, they both revert to the same data sheet http://download.micron.com/pdf/datasheets/modules/DM77_2.pdf

The A in the part used by Dell is not addressed, I would give this part an excelllent chance of working in the Dell PERC 2 controller.

MT18LD1672G-5X is Buffered memory, used in older servers, such as PE6300/6350.
This will not work in an Perc2/qc.

MT18LD1672AG-5X is Unbuffered Memory, used in workstations & PC's.

MT18LD1672AG-5X (or equivalent) is required for Perc2/qc cache.  [Unbuffered 50ns EDO memory].
Note that 60ns will not work either.
