PERC H730: Issues with adding drive to RAID 6

Hi, my goal was to add a disk and expand capacity on a RAID 6.
I entered the PERC configuration utility from the LifeCycle Controller, reconfigured the Virtual Disk for the new HDD, and rebooted.
Now the VD operational state shows "reconstructing" while the progress is extremely slow (1% every two hours). This is odd since the OS is not seeing any significant workload.
Morevoer the virtual disk hasn't seen any capacity expansion, and is still stuck at 1.8TB (should have grown to 3TB)

Can somebody point me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance

Hi,

the full amount will be shown after the reconstruction has finished. Until this process is still running you may not see any change.

The whole process takes a long time depending on the size of the disk.

You haven't done anything wrong - just sit and wait.
Or grab a cup of coffee or two or maybe a can

Reconstruction is a very time-intensive process. Be patient and wait until it's finished.

Best regards

Stefan
