PERC4 Controller Drive Failure
I recently had a Power Edge 2800 have the mirrored drives both fail on the PERC4 controller and am now in a real pickle. In order to get the OS mirrored drives installed and readyu I had to clear the configuration which did not give me a choose of which channel to clear, so it ended up clearing the entire configuration. Now I have on channel 1 6 drives that were all in thier own raid config with data on them. But now I am not sure if the data is accessiable since it doesn't appear that the configuration can be reproduced to retrieve the data that was on the good drives. My question is. Have I lost the data on the good drives since I clear the configuration or can I get that data back online? Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

There is a small chance you can get it back online ... it is called a retag. Boot to CTRL-M, Objects, Adapter, turn OFF Fast Init (important!). Then go to Configure, View/Add, and recreate the array, but do NOT initialize after creating it. It MUST use the exact same disks, in the exact same slots, with the exact same size, stripe size, etc.
If that doesn't work, then you will need to call a data recovery specialist or pull out the backups.
