Poweredge 1950 SCSI controller Driver Win 2012
Just curious if anyone else has run into an issue trying to install Win server 2012 on a Dell Poweredge 1950. We have a SCSI controller still showing without drivers. We've tried all drivers available for Win 2012 available on the Dell site. Nothing has resolved this. The pics below show the missing SCSI controller in Device Manager, and the drivers we've tried to install from Dell's site. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful to hear them. Thanks!

Which "SCSI controller" is it? Go to the Details tab, change dropdown to Hardware Ids and provide the VEN and DEV ID's ... or open the box and see what it is. Not all SCSI controllers are supported in 2008R2 and later.

Thanks for the help Flash! Here are the ID's:
I'm doing some Google searching to find the make/model based off of ID. No luck so far, but I'll let you know if I find anything.

Well, I think I've figured this out. The driver needed was for a LSI Logic PCI-X Ultra320 SCSI Host Adapter (found from Google searching that Hardware ID info). I found the driver eventually. I'll include it here if anyone else needs it:
[View:~/cfs-file.ashx/__key/communityserver-discussions-components-files/906/lsi_5F00_scsi.inf_5F00_amd64_5F00_9d643e6a755951c3.zip:550:0]
Hopefully, that comes through. I can't find the URL anymore where I got that driver, but the name was "lsi_scsi.inf_amd64_9d643e6a755951c3.zip" which should turn up in some Google searching. Anyway, I also had to turn off driver signature enforcement to get it to install. Probably not the best with security (hope it wasn't a virus...ha ha), but it did install just fine, and the server isn't throwing any fits. I turned off driver sig enforcement by following info here:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/how-to-install-a-driver-that-does-not-contain/7c3f299b-3483-4c96-8c44-87c7451af222
These were the basic steps:
Go to Start - Then Command Prompt
Enter command "shutdown /r /o /f /t 00"
Click the "OK" button
System will restart to a "Choose an option" screen
Then select "Troubleshoot" from "Choose an option" screen
Then select "Advanced options" from "Troubleshoot" screen
Then select "Windows Startup Settings" from "Advanced options" screen
Click "Restart" button
System will restart to "Advanced Boot Options" screen
Select "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"
Restart & install drivers...
All seems fine now, as it shows under storage controllers:
Thanks again for the help Flash!
