PowerEdge 2400

I have a Dell PowerEdge 2400. It has a Dell PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller 2/si card. It has three 8 gig SCSI drives installed. I went into the Cointainer Configuration Utiliy, and created one cointaner using the three drives (24 gig), but when I tried to load W2K Server, it hanged when it was trying to reformat the drives. Also, there is a yellow light blinking on the front, like a warning light. Can you tell me what is causing the problem?

Thank you.

First, go into the container configuration utility and make sure your container status is still optimal. When you do an install of windows 2000 server and boot from the cd, you will need to press F6 while it is inspecting hardware to provide a driver for the raid controller. But you need the driver that is compatible with the version of the firmware for the perc2-si. Start the server and when you see the text "Dell Poweredge Expandable RAID Controller..." It should give you a BIOS or FRMW version like V2.1-3. Based on that firmware version, download a driver with the same version number from the website. I provided a link below. Extract all driver files on to a floppy. Boot to the windows 2000 CD, press F6 as indicated above and put the floppy in drive A when prompted.
