PowerEdge T310- Booting Issue

Now , it is showing:

bios not installed no virtual disk found

No boot device available

What storage controller you have on the server? While booting can you go to storage controller BIOS and check the status of physical disk and virtual disk? Can you also check the status of physical disks LED?

It shows no disk or virtual disk.

There is no LED light on the disks.

Can you check how Hard drive are connected to the motherboard. Is Hard drive directly connected to the mother board or it is connected through a storage controller? Is your server have a backplane?

Can you also confirm whether Power cable is connected to the backplane? As HDD LED is not glowing I want to ensure power cable is connected to the backplane. Can you also boot to storage controller menu during boot and check whether HDD are shown in controller BIOS?

Hi, Along with Shine’s resolution steps, I am also thinking you might have a boot device issue such as a disk. Does your HDD detect the controller? Also what controller do you use?

Harddrives are connected thru a storage controller.

Yes, the Power cable is connected to the backplane. HDD is not showing in controller. There are 4 Harddrives in the system. 

Can you ensure HDD's are seated properly. You can remove and insert then and check whether LED's are glowing on HDD. Can you also share the details (Part# and model) of hard disk drive installed on the server? Is the hard drives are procured from Dell? 

You were correct. The HDDs were not seated properly. I have foxed that but it is now showing BSOD.

Looks like Operating System is getting crashed. What operating system you have on the server? Can you perform AC power cycle by removing the power cable and connect it back after couple of minutes and see whether you are hitting the issue again. 

It's  Windows Server 2008. Now it is saying :

"Found virtual  disks that  are Degraded."

Virtual disk degraded means one of the physical disks is failed on the virtual disks. Can you go S300 controller BIOS and check physical disks status to see which disk failed.
