PowerEdge T310 Nightmare
I have a T310 with 3 drives set up in a RAID 5. We recently had a power outage and when the server was booting up it went into recovery mode and does not recognize the drives. The raid manager said one of the drives was not recognized. I swapped it out but it still wasn't recognized. I will admit I am not sure I did it correctly. What are the proper steps to troubleshoot this? Could it be the RAID controller? Any ideas on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

What RAID controller do you have?
Until further notice, ONLY use the original disks.
In the "RAID manager", what EXACTLY do you see on each of the screens?

In the RAID manager, the top screen says:
1---RAID5, 930GB, Degraded (R/W)
2-NonRAID, 465GB, Failed
The right side says:
0-00, 465GB, Online
1-01, 465GB, Ready
2-02, 465GB, Online
Not sure what to do next. The original hard drive is back in. It seems the datapart is fine, it's the partition with the OS. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks again for your help!!!

So, your OS and data partition are both on this RAID 5, right?
And you currently cannot boot the OS?
Disk 1 was the one you had removed? When you removed it and put the new one in, what EXACTLY did you do? Could it boot before you replaced the drive?

I'm not 100% certain they are both on the RAID5. The server came pre-configured from Dell. When I try booting it goes right into recovery mode and does not recognize any disks. Disk 1 was removed then replaced. All I did was remove the old one, put the new one in and try and boot. Same result. How can I figure out if the OS partition is part of the RAID5?

Do you have any other disks in the system? If not, then they both are on the RAID 5. (It isn't really relevant - just trying to sort out what you were talking about in your last post by "seems the datapart is fine, it's the partition with the OS".)
In a RAID 5, if one disk dies/goes offline, then it should still boot and operate normally, even when missing a disk ... for this reason I suspect more is going on (or has happened) here than has been said (or that you are aware of) ... that's why I ask about what happened and what you did.
What do you mean by "recovery mode"? Do you mean that Windows does not boot anymore and just begins the Windows RE (what OS is this btw)?
I'm now trying to sort out the terminology you are using here ... by "does not recognize any disks", what doesn't recognize any disks? The RE?
