PowerEdge2950 VD Problem
I recently bought a PowerEdge 2950 with 2x500gb hdds. It worked perfectly until we wanted to move to Debian, i booted into the USB, but the ethernet cable was plugged out, i moved to plug it back but i accedently plugged out the power cord, now when i try to create a VD, only the first HDD shows up, but the second hdd,s led is green, so it should be fine, i opened the server and resetted the NVRAM, but then i noticed a green led called BEAT_ERROR lighting on the SAS controller(PERC 6i )
Thanks, RedStone

Hello thanks for choosing Dell. Could you tell us exactly what error message you are getting? Also press and to go to the PECR6 controller BIOS and let us now how your physical disk status is.

I'm with you on that. Time to replace the HDD, I reckon.
