Raid poweredge server 1800
Hi all,
I need assistance to rebuild a RAID like it was before, in fact I have done a mistake when I tried to reconstruct a disk . Globally I create 2 logicals disk instead 1 like it was but to prevent any mistakes I want to be sure before lost any data the way to follow.
Actually I have 2 logical drive instead 1 , I want to know how I can remove 1 and put the drive removed inside RAID 1.( I mean only 1 logical drive ).

Relofer,
You possibly could have corrupted the data, but there is something we can try. Now on the controller installed you would need to delete the 2 Virtual Disks you created, and then "retag" the array with the original configuration. Essentially the same thing you would do for an original configuration, just without initializing the array. So to retag the original array just delete the existing VD and then configure the Raid 1. DO NOT INITIALIZE the Virtual Disk, doing this will delete the data from the drives. Once you configure it to the raid 1 then try to reboot and see if the data is accessible,

The poweredge 1800 is using a controller type Perc, I would like to have this configuration( see attached picture)
Actually the server is working but Both drive in range are not in RAID 1 like this picture, but A00.00 AND A01.00 ==> something like that.
When I restarted the OS, I can see the both disks detected like 2 logicals disks and not only 1 logical. I need only one and the other copy of the first to prevent crash(redundancy) ==> note 2 drives available and online but no link between.
I hope it's clear if not, I will try to give you more info.
I can also try to introduce a new disk empty after have removed the in place A01.00 disk, but I don't know if that will work?
