Replace Hard drive on PE2300
I have a PowerEdge 2300, G2SVT, RAID 1 (mirroring), 3 arrays running NW5.1 SP5. One of my hard drives has failed. I rebuilt it and it was ok for a few days and it has now failed again. So I guess I need to replace it.
My question: Can I just pop out the failed drive and pop a new one in? Will the mirroring just bring it up to speed? Or do I need to do more....like format it first?
Thanks,
Kathy

That is correct. Just replace the failed drive with a good one. The raid controller will rebuild the replacemenet.
