Hi Community,

I’m trying to boot Support Live Image to upgrade Bios and Raid controller firmware on Dell PowerEdge R720 but it doesn’t allow entering to boot manager. It only goes to raid controller bios cpld and stuck there.

Hi, the image you provided seems to show the system during POST. Could you please share the subsequent or final screen after this?

Hi,

It is stuck at POST. It doesn’t move from here and I can’t enter boot manager.

Hi, then you should try Minimum to post to get to support live image.

The minimum components to allow the Dell™ PowerEdge™ R720/R720xd to complete POST are as follows:

  • One Power Supply
  • Control Panel (for power button functionality)
  • Working cable connection between control panel and system board
  • One Processor (CPU) in socket CPU1 (minimum for troubleshooting)
  • One Memory Module (DIMM) installed in socket A1
  • System Board
  • Backplane (for R720xd control panel connection)
