T640 rack rails
HI,
I'm configuring T640 server in OSC (Rack config) and I noticed you cannot choose rack rails. Just wanted to make sure that the server comes out of the factory equipped with rails (such as D2K5P)
Cheers,
David

Can you check whether you have options like "Tower Configuration" and "Rack Configuration" in chassis section. You can select rail kit only if you choose "Rack Configuration" option in chassis. You need to choose Rack Configuration and select appropriate rail kit to ensure you are getting rail kit along with the server.

That's the point...if I choose Rack config (See below)
the OSC presents me only the following option under Rack Rails:
It does it for every Rack config of the server...
Anyway, I'm suspecting that this is because the Rack Rails are provided by default in such config, but couldn't find any confirmation for it
Cheers,
David

Hello,
I pulled up the T640 order page on my system. I believe you need to select a Rack config, then you should be able to scroll down near the bottom of the page and find another line item for rails.
Let me know if this resolves it for you, or if you need further assistance. If it isn't showing up like this for you, contacting sales may be the quickest route to resolution.

I'm a DELL partner, thus I use the OSC tool to configure servers (found in the partner portal), not through DELL website
