virtual drive handle by bios

I have a R720 that stays at the "x Virtual drive handle by bios" screen. I have changed the battery of the PERC H700-Mini, I have changed the PERC, tried to be without power, updated idrac, but I can not start the OS.

I'm trying to update BIOS from idrac, but it doesn't work, I don't know why.

Any ideas?

It appears that you are experiencing issues with your Dell PowerEdge R720 server. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Check the boot order: Make sure that the boot order is set correctly in the BIOS. Ensure that the server is set to boot from the correct device, such as the hard drive or CD/DVD drive.

  2. Reset the BIOS: Try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. You can do this by accessing the BIOS setup utility and selecting the option to reset the settings to default.

  3. Check the hardware components: Verify that all hardware components, such as the hard drives and RAID controller, are properly seated and functioning correctly. Try re-seating the components or replacing them if necessary.

  4. Check the RAID configuration: Ensure that the RAID configuration is set up correctly and that the drives are recognized by the RAID controller. You may need to access the RAID configuration utility to check and modify the settings.

As for updating the BIOS from iDRAC, make sure that you are using the correct firmware update package and that it is compatible with your system. You can also try updating the BIOS from a bootable USB drive or CD/DVD if the iDRAC update is not working.

Hi

The problem with setting the bios to default is that I can't access it using the Fxx keys.

Is it possible to do it by racadm?
