VxSvc_PercPro Warning

All,
I have been receiving this error on our PE 6600 server:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: VxSvc_PercPro
Event Category: None
Event ID: 571
Date:  6/5/2007
Time:  2:51:32 PM
Description:
PERC 3/DC Controller 0, Array Disk 1:10 Sense Key =  3, Sense Code =  C, Sense Qualifier =  0.  If this disk is part of a redundant virtual disk, select the 'Offline' option and then replace the disk.  Then configure a hot spare and it will start the rebuild automatically.  If this disk is a hot spare, select the 'Prepare to Remove' option and then replace the disk.  If this disk is part of a non-redundant disk, you should back-up your data immediately.  If the disk fails, you will not be able to recover the data.

Do these codes mean that the drive is failing? Do I need a firmware upgrade for the controller? Any info on these erroes would be great.
Thanks
FSYR

Hi FSYR,

I suspect that you have a SMART warning event here, look in your logs on the controller for "failure threshold limit exceeded" or SMART. The Drive ID is bus 1 ID 10. Most likely you'll have to replace the drive. Please call into tech support for this issue, the call is free and they can assist you if there are any F/W, or drivers we recommend.
