Be sure to extract the files, not just copy the exe over. Make sure that there is an array setup as well.

There should also a CD called Dell System Build and Update CD that came with the server. You can boot to that first and it will walk you through a wizard to install the OS.

The driver that you are trying to load is for a x64 bit OS. If you have a x32 bit OS, then the x64 driver will not work. I just wanted to make sure that it is a x64 OS that is being loaded. If the OS is x64 and it still doesn't work, call Dell Tech support and they should be able to get it working for you.

I find that when it says that the sys file is corrupt, the diskette is bad. Try with a few different ones, though since it is doing it with the Dell Systems Build CD, it may not be that. Also, are you 100% that this is x64 and not x32? Also is the the PERC 5/i or the SAS 5/i? Past that, you may want to contact Dell support as they will be able to verify the server's configuration for you.
