Broadcom 10/25Gb NICs
Hi All We are having an issue with one of our PowerEdge servers where the Broadcom 10/25Gb NICs keep resetting. We get the error message: The network interface Broadcom NetXtreme E-Series Advanced Dual-port 25Gb SFP28 Ethernet PCIe Adapter has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver detected that its hardware has stopped responding to commands. This network interface has reset 2 time(s) since it was last initialized. The NICs then keep doing this constantly until the server is rebooted, which is a pain as its a live Hyper-V host. Once rebooted it seems to settle for a while. The NICs have the latest drivers and firmware and have been reinstalled. Has anyone else come across this and if so how did you fix it?

Holy cr@p I can't believe you just posted this yesterday - this just happened to us again last night. We have seen this happen now 4 times on Dell R440's in our Hyper-V cluster over the past 9 months. We have a 3 node cluster, and the error has now occurred on 2 of the servers (exact same build). When it happens, Hyper-V cluster services get complete jacked, and we have to bring down everything and restart all nodes. We also installed the latest drivers and firmware hoping it would solve the issue, but it did not. Last time I focused on working with Microsoft since I was mostly frustrated that 1 server having network issues affected the whole cluster. Unfortunately they were not able to find anything. I think when the NIC starts resetting, it isn't fully down - some traffic is getting through. Cluster services sees some traffic and doesn't treat the node as offline, and instead everything hangs up as it tries to manage the outage (unsuccessfully).
If you open a ticket with Dell, send me your case number and I'll open one as well referencing the same issue. Maybe we'll have more leverage. I have not found anything line yet about this issue.

I am having the exact same issue on a stand-alone PET640 Hyper-V host running Server 2016. The network card will drop all connections and we have to reboot the host to get it back. I am opening a ticket with Dell on Tuesday and I will add anything I learn to the thread.
