Current Poweredge models that support NT 4

There is a lot of unofficially supported "this driver may work" solutions for NT 4 at this point. I have a client in need of a new server that will (unfortunately) have to run Windows NT Server 4.0 - I am looking for a low cost model & want to avoid driver/nonsupport issues. They do not require a RAID card but I do intend to create a software mirror with 2 SCSI drives, presumably attached to the onboard controller.

Can anyone give me some info as to anything that has and hasn't worked under this situation?

Hi,

The currently shipping servers which have been validated with NT 4.0 are the PowerEdge 1750, PowerEdge 2600, PowerEdge 2650, PowerEdge 4600, PowerEdge 6600 and PowerEdge 6650.

NT 4.0 cannot be factory installed, nor will the Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD (DOSA) assist in the NT 4.0 install, but all the required drivers are available on the Dell File Library.
