Are you trying to install over PXE or is it just not booting to your CD?  Make sure that your CDROM is listed at the top in the boot order AND activated as a boot device.

Got to be a little patient :)  The Dell guys are not always here and most of us are volunteers - I was at the gym and couldn't respond immediately.

I would first suspect the FreeBSD media.

Can you BOOT to that CD on another system?

Is the media CD or DVD?  If it is DVD, does your system have a CD drive or a DVD drive?

I'm not sure I understood much of that last post, but it sounds like your CD-ROM drive is bad.  The 2600 cannot boot to USB devices, so you will need to replace your CD-ROM with a working one.

That list doesn't mean FreeBSD is not COMPATIBLE, it means it is not SUPPORTED, which just means that Dell does not provide the drivers - it is up to you to make it work and troubleshoot any issues you encounter ... it does not necessarily mean it won't work.

Your CD drive is DEAD ... replace it or you have no way to install any OS on it.

One more question... If cdrom is dead, why windows detect a cd when insert him?

It sounded like you said it didn't work with 2003 either ... can you see all the contents of the disk? If so, then you either messed up creating the freebsd CD or you are trying to use a DVD in a CD drive.
