Enabling TOE on poweredge 2800 in Intel

Hi. This is my first post. I have a poweredge 2800 server and I have 2 Intel Pro/1000 MT Network Connection cards.   I would like to enable TOE on these cards.   Is it possible, if so how I can do it. If not possible could you give me other options.   Cheers.

Hello, Intel has a similar feature to TOE called Intel I/OAT. However, it wasn't introduced until the 5000 series chipset. The 5000 series chips were not available on the 8th generation server. TOE (TCP Offload Engine) was not introduced on Dell servers until the 9th (x9xx) Generation server. Broadcom nics with TOE, are on the 9th Generation systems. Hi Benjamin Thank you for your reply. It has helped me a lot.   So I guess what I would do to enable TOE on this specific server is to buy Broadcom Gigabit Card (similiar cards in the x900 series). Then should TOE work if i do this?
