ERROR WINDOW 2003 INSTALLATION

Hello all,

I slipstreamed sp1 into my volume license server 2003 std CD and
attempted a clean install on two new Dell Poweredge 750's. I've tried
installing with and without using the Dell utility CD and either way
get this error at the beginning of setup, a few seconds after seeing
"Press F6 to load an additional SCSI or RAID driver"...

The file amdide.sys could not be found
Press any key to continue

....at which point setup fails and exits.

Are you pressing F6, to load the necessay driver(s) from a floppy ? as at least 1 driver is necessary for your drive controller, or Windows would not be giving you this message. Basically at this point you get this message because the Windows setup is not aware you have disks.

If you are loading a driver via F6, good chance you are loading an incorrect or outdated driver. or an adittional driver is needed.

I'm getting the same error and pressing F6 doesn't do anything.

I had the same problem with the OpenManage 8.4 CD provided by Dell.  We recently received a new Dell blade and in the software pack, there was a new style CD that was the Dell OpenManage Installation and Server Assistant CD.  It's version was 5.2.  Using this, I was able to see a different option for OS installation.  This time it showed Microsoft 2003 Server SP1/SP2.
