How to load win2k into dell's server

Question

Hi i just bought a Dell PowerEdge 1600sc for my company can any body explain how to load win2k (sp4) as a O.S for this type of server Thanks..... as i am quite new in Networking...

Hi,

Basically insert the Windows 2000 CD-Rom into your CD Drive, and when your PowerEdge is starting, it will ask you to boot from CD, simply press any key, then continue with the Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server setup, and it will prompt you to configure your disk drive(s) during the installation.

Once it has completed, your Windows 2000 Operating System is installed and ready for use.

I just finished a PowerEdge 6300 with Win 2000 Server and it was a VERY smooth process.

i would use the system support CD, which helps you to install any supported OS on your system and provides automatically all drivers you need
